Experience Profile: Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ)

LRI’s longstanding relationship with YYZ highlights vital expertise and experience.

LRI’s relationship with YYZ spans more than 20 years. During this time, our firm has been involved in the delivery of Building and Fire Code consulting and fire protection engineering services for numerous major developments and various renovations. Our clients include architectural and construction companies, as well as the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA).

Our involvement at Terminal 1 includes its original design and construction, including the Automated People Mover, and major subsequent renovations (including the Node F, Pier F Upgrade Program and Hold Bag Screening Domestic Facility). Terminal 3 involvement includes the Pier C expansion project. LRI was involved in the Infield development, which included a new aircraft hangar, temporary terminal building, air cargo and ground support buildings.

Engagement with key stakeholders at YYZ is another facet of our service. LRI provided services for the design of the FedEx Cargo Hub and is currently assisting Air Canada in the renewal of fire detection and suppression systems, within its hangars. The depth of LRI’s service and experience is well-represented at YYZ.
