Sara Saavedra
Sara graduated from Seneca Polytechnic with an Advanced Diploma in Fire Protection Engineering Technology and possess a certificate in Pre-Service Firefighting from Fire and Emergency Services Training Institute (FESTI). She is a recognized NFPA member and has successfully completed numerous training programs, including NFPA 1031 Certified Fire Inspector (Level I), NFPA 1035 Certified Fire & Life Safey Educator (Level I & II), and NFPA 1072 Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations. She is a dedicated active volunteer firefighter and public educator with the Town of Caledon. With previous experience in fire alarm systems, suppression and public education, Sara brings valuable expertise to her role.

As a project consultant within the Fire and Life Safey Services group, Sara leverages her skill set and in-depth understanding of the Ontario Building and Fire Codes. Her expertise includes building fire safety plan development, conducting fire safety training sessions, performing building site audits, and overseeing fire drills and their subsequent evaluation reports. Her expertise in the fire industry is backed by a strong comprehension of the applicable codes, legislation, and standards.
