Jacob McGivern, EIT (APEGA)
Jacob is a technical consultant who joined LRI in 2021 after two successful co-op terms with the company. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and is a certified 3rd party firestop inspector for the International Firestop Council. Jacob has also completed numerous MMAH Provincial examinations and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) as an engineer in training. In recent years, he has presented at the Canadian Fire and Safety Association (CFSA) Annual Education Forum, providing expert insights into protecting adjacent properties during construction. He also took the stage at the Ontario Craft Brewers Conference, sharing his knowledge on navigating Ontario building and fire codes for breweries.
