Eric is a highly skilled professional with over 35 years of experience in the field of Building Code application. He has been an integral part of LRI since 1986, bringing unparalleled expertise to the table. Eric holds a degree in Architectural Science from Toronto Metropolitan University and is an active member of several prestigious associations, including the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), the Canadian Fire Safety Association (CFSA), and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). His immense knowledge and experience have made him a top-rated subject expert and speaker who has presented at various events, including PM Expo/Construct Canada, the Ontario Association of Architects, the Canadian Fire Safety Association, and the Society of Fire Protection Engineers. Additionally, Eric has served as a former President of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, Southern Chapter, and a former member of the Use and Egress Committee for the Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes.

Eric has taken on the role of project manager for numerous complex projects across Canada and beyond, with a particular focus on high occupancy buildings, such as arenas, stadiums, entertainment centres, cinema complexes, and performing arts theatres (including historic theatres). He also has extensive experience working on regional and urban-center shopping centers, rapid-transit stations, courthouses, and large government facilities, as well as on high-rise, mixed-use buildings with atriums. Eric is recognized as a trusted leader in the fire and life safety community, being well-known for his ability to develop creative and effective solutions to complex challenges. He is also a mentor to colleagues and is highly regarded for his technical expertise.
