Jessica joined the Code Engineering team in 2024. Jessica possesses an Advanced Diploma in Fire Protection Engineering Technology and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Science and Emergency Management at the University of Cincinnati. Jessica has years of industry experience working with fire alarm and smoke control systems and holds NFPA 1035,1072, and 1031 certifications and a CFAA Fire Alarm trainee registration. She is highly motivated and passionate about public safety, evidenced by her vast research in fire safety and volunteerism at Camp Molly. Â

In her role as a Technical Consultant, Jessica leverages her skill set and in-depth understanding of the Ontario Building and Fire Codes to drive the success of complex consulting projects. With a strong focus on analysis and problem-solving, she develops practical solutions for intricate challenges. Her expertise includes drawing review, code report preparation, egress analysis, alternative solution development, building condition assessment, and the application of fire codes and NFPA standards to hazardous processes and occupancies. Jessica’s possess a strong understanding of high-rise building safety with regard to smoke control systems and is adept in applying supplementary codes. Her skill set extends to conducting thorough fire drill audits and fire warden training seminars. Â
